ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

A 40-year practice teaching Sport Karate and Sport Kick Boxing. Kids classes and teen/adult classes are available.

Our Story

In 1982, Frank Misuraca started K.I.C.K. Masters Karate after finding a passion for martial arts as a teenager. For 4 decades, the K.I.C.K. Masters Karate & Kickboxing school has been a staple in Stratford, Ontario.

What sets K.I.C.K. Masters apart is our departure from the traditional methods. Rather than chasing medals, we focus on contact and self-defence, creating a unique and engaging experience for our students. This old-school mentality resonates with families, resulting in three generations finding their martial arts home here. There's structure, discipline, and a firm stance on saying no, but we also know when it's time to have some fun.

Parents appreciate the blend of coordination, structure, and discipline, all while ensuring we keep the fun alive. After 40 years of running K.I.C.K. Masters, Frank is training the next generation to lead, which is a testament to the enduring spirit of K.I.C.K. Masters Karate—a place where discipline meets joy.

I am proudly the founder and sensei of K.I.C.K. Masters Karate and have a 5th-degree black belt with over 50 years of experience. For 4 decades, the K.I.C.K. Masters Karate & Kickboxing school has been a staple in Stratford.

I started martial arts as a teenager in 1975; years later, in 1982, I started K.I.C.K. Masters Karate. I competed in many tournaments throughout my career and won over 150 trophies, three national titles, an invitation to represent Canada at the Goodwill Games, and a spot in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

I have been married to my wife Lori Misuraca, for over 30 years, who helps me run K.I.C.K. Masters. Together, we have 5 children: Dani, Chaz, Kira, Shay, and Kaejon, who have all been doing martial arts since a young age.
